| Description | LOUISIANA, a catamaran ferry with steel hull (144.5 ft. x 55 ft. x 9.3 ft.), was built at Howard in 1926. Owned by Baton Rouge Transportation Co., LOUISIANA operated in the Baton Rouge area. LOUISIANA was rebuilt and converted to a twin propeller diesel in 1969 by Avondale for the Plaquemines Parish Council in New Orleans. |
