ANOTHER POPULAR TEACHER MISS ETHEL ELIZABETH GARNER Miss Garner is one of the popular young ladies of Paris, Ky. She is a teacher of Domestic Science and English in the Western High School, from which she graduated. Miss Garner also graduated from Howard University in June 1931. She was assistant to the matron of the girls' dormitory during her last two years at Howard, and was liked by both students and the official of the university.

DR. AND MRS. EMERSON AND FRIENDS IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT Members of the party of Dr. J. A. Emerson narrowly escaped fatal injury last Sunday evening when the clutch of the automobile of Dr. Emerson locked and the car turned over ina  ditch near Warsaw, Ky., about 80 miles from Louisville. Dr. Emerson, Mrs. Emerson and Mesdames Daisy English, Mary Hickman and Mrs. L. Keightly all well known members of the R. E. Jones Temple church here, were en route home from the M. E. Conference at Cincinnati when the accident occurred. Mrs.  English was lacerated about the face and received internal injuries. Mrs. Hickman and Mrs. Keighly about the hips and head Mrs. Emerson was also hurt about about the head. Dr. Emerson was cut on the lip. All were rushed to Louisville in the ambulance of a Warsaw undertaker. Mrs. English and Mrs. Keightly are now at the Red Cross Hospital. The automobile of Dr. Emerson was practically wrecked.
