LINCOLN INSTITUTE TO GRADUATE 60
Lincoln Institute will graduate sixty young people on June 7, 1950 at 10:00 A. M. (Day light saving time). The Honorable Jesse H. Lawrence of Louisville, Kentucky, will deliver our Commencement Address.
Our Baccalaureate Sermon will be Sunday, June 4, 1950, at 3 P. M. (Day light saving time). Rev. Olof Anderson, Pastor of the St. Matthews Presbyterian Church, will deliver the sermon.
Our exercises will be held in the gymnasium. The Vocational Departments will have their exhibits.
All parents and friends are welcome to these exercises.
Charles Johnson Blue of this city, the son of Mrs. Thomas F. Blue, is among those to graduate from Virginia Union University, Richmond, Va., on June 6.
Mrs. Blue and Thomas, Jr. will attend the commencement exercises.

PRACTICAL NURSING CLASS TO BE STARTED IN SEPTEMBER; LIMIT IS 15
A second class on practical nursing will be started in September 1950. The main work will be done at the Red Cross Hospital and some of the theory classes will be at Central High School. The enrollment will be limited to fifteen students.
should secure application blanks at Central High School May 15, 1950 to May 19, 1950 during school hours and at Central Adult Night School on the same nights. Persons who applied in January and could be accommodated may apply again.
The class operates for one year, four months being given over to instruction and the remaining months to practical work at the Red Cross Hospital. The course is under the auspices of the Louisville Board of Education.
