| Description | Multiple views of a railroad engine car ICRR 4-8-2 number 2448 on train tracks. These photos were taken at the Illinois Central Roundhouse at 14th and Oak Streets. The engine had been kept at that roundhouse on standby for potential troop train service to Fort Knox. In September 1959, the engine was pulled out of the roundhouse and sent to Paducah where it was scrapped. |
