Description
A view of the hall from the stairway landing at Federal Hill also known as "My Old Kentucky Home " located in Bardstown , Ky . Furniture lines the walls along the hallway including writing desks , an armchair , a wall table , and a small table with chair next to the door . Portrait paintings hang from the walls . A partial view of the stairs and second floor are in the upper right corner of the image . Federal Hill was owned by the Rowan family , whose cousin was Stephen Foster . The house is on the National Register of Historic Places , and is now part of My Old Kentucky Home State Park ; Foster's song is the Kentucky state song .
