Below the crest is a scroll that wraps into the wreath . The scroll contains the Latin phrase "Hoc Majorum Virtus. " Below the wreath is the name "Dulaney Logan. " Hoc Majorum Virtus , which means "This is the valor of my ancestors " is the clan Logan of Scotland motto . Brown ink . Signed Hewett with four-digit year .
