| Description | JENNIE BARBOUR, a stern-wheel towboat with wood hull (110 ft. x 28 ft. x 4.5 ft.), was built at Howard in 1905. Owned by C. A. Barbour, JENNIE BARBOUR operated in the Bayou Teche in Louisiana initially and then in the Houston area. JENNIE BARBOUR was sold to Texas Oil Co. and sent to Mexico in 1913 She was dismantled in 1919 and her machinery went into the R. C. HOLMES. |
