Bow and port side of MADISON at the bank of the Ohio River at Howard Shipyard. Bow of GREY EAGLE can be seen behind MADISON. MADISON, a center wheel ferry with wood hull (157.4 ft. x 45.4 x 6.1 ft.), was built in 1892 at Howard Ship Yards and Dock Company in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Owned by Madison County Illinois Ferry Company, MADISON operated in the St. Louis area. |
