Three-quarter length portrait of performer Marie Doro wearing a black cape and a worried expression . Doro , born Marie Katherine Steward in Duncannon , Pennsylvania on May 25 , 1882 , starred in three productions at Macauley's Theatre : "The Morals of Marcus (February 1908) , "The Richest Girl " (January 1909) , and "Diplomacy " (March 1915) . She went on to star in films , and died October 9 , 1956 in New York City . Autograph on print , lower right : Yours sincerely Marie Doro . Location of photo studio : New York (N.Y.) . Title supplied by cataloger .
