Description
West entrance of Jouett Hall . A sidewalk leads up to the entryway , and cement stairs lead up to the covered doorway . Dried leaves on the ground indicate the photograph was taken in the fall . This building was originally named for Daniel Spalding , Jr. , president of the Industrial School Board of Managers and president of the city council . It was renamed in honor of Edward Stockton Jouett , Louisville attorney and long-time UofL trustee , in 1958 . Location : Belknap Campus : Central . Current uses : Research Integrity Program ; Kent School of Social Work . Former names : Spalding Building ; Biology Building . Former uses : House of Refuge boy's classroom ; Biology Building ; psychology building ; early and middle childhood unit . Type of architecture : Renaissance Revival . Square footage : 9591 .
