Title	Broadway and Shelby Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 1929.

Description	Location: 800 block of Broadway, Louisville, Kentucky. "Broadway looking West from a point about 100 ft. east of Shelby" was written on the invoice indicating that this photograph was likely taken for insurance purposes. On a rainy day with slick roads and sidewalks a small group of pedestrians with umbrellas stands in front of an Atlantic & Pacific Grocery Store next to a hamburger restaurant. A poster for the United States is Navy is propped up out front. To the left of the grocery is a building with this sign, "'The Oldest National Bank in the South' First National Bank. Shelby & Broadway Branch. 'You can park."' A clock is attached to the corner of the building. Past that are signs for Dayton Tires at F.A. Kronauer Co. and Goss Hardware. Cars drive down the wet streets and utility lines criss-cross against the gray sky. On the other side of Broadway are shops for candy, shoe repair, and a Piggly Wiggly grocery.
