Description	Formerly the Benjamin Franklin School, this photograph shows the property for sale and solicits bids for demolishing the building. The sign reads, "FOR SALE. Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Business Director of the Board of Education, Administration Building, Southwest Corner Eighth and Chestnut Streets until eight o'clock P.M. July 29, 1932 for REMOVAL OF THIS BUILDING. Specifications and proposal blanks for the above can be obtained by calling or addressing this office. For general conditions see Specifications. The Board reserves the right to accept any or reject all bids. SAMUEL D. JONES. Business Director." The building is a two-story wood frame house with gingerbread ornamentation. According to Caron's Louisville City Directory, the property was still listed as Benjamin Franklin School in 1935.
