Title	Jefferson County Jail, Louisville, Kentucky, 1921.

Description	Address: 540 W. Liberty, Louisville, Kentucky. At the corner of Armory Place and Liberty Street is the Jefferson County Jail. The stone and brick building includes a raised basement plus three stories topped by two hexagonal towers with lightning rods attached. A smokestack and another chimney are also visible on the roof. All the windows include bars, but the first floor windows and a section about the entry include Romanesque arches. The sidewalk in front of the building has a light post, utility lines, and a fire hydrant. A car is parked at the curb and the street has trolley tracks embedded in it. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
