Title	Pendennis Club, Louisville, Kentucky, 1928.

Description	Address: 332 W. Walnut Street (now Muhammad Ali Boulevard), Louisville, Kentucky. In 1928 this building became the new clubhouse for the Pendennis Club, a businessmen's social club. The right side of the building originally stood alone. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style, the symmetrical building has tall windows with elaborately-detailed frames. The center section protrudes slightly and is emphasized by the gabled pediment. The front door is topped by a large transom window and framed by Corinthian columns. The left half of the building was added on in 1909. It largely mimics the look of the original but includes a bay section with a balcony. A canopy covers the arched, off-set doorway. This building no longer exists. The expansion of Stewart Dry Goods store, the large brick building next door, called for the demolition of this building. A sign is painted on the Stewart Dry Goods building that reads, in part, "Business established Dry Goods."
