. The
bridge
was
later
renamed
the
George
Rogers
Clark
Memorial
Bridge
. The
bridge
spans
the
Ohio
River
from
Second
and
Main
Streets
in
Louisville
,
Kentucky
, to
Illinois
Avenue
in
Jeffersonville
,
Indiana
.
People
stand
shoulder
to
shoulder
as
far
as
can
be
seen
under
the
girders
of the
bridge
. A
tarp
is
set
up
a
little
way
in and
covers
an
area
with a
podium
and
two
flags
of the
United
States
.
