. This
close-up
on the
entryway
of the
Louisville
Presbyterian
Theological
Seminary
shows
its
gothic
elements
.
While
the
building
is
balanced
it
is
not
symmetrical
and
actually
combines
a
number
of
contrasting
elements
. The
extra
wide
front
door
is
not
centered
beneath
the
stained
glass
windows
. The
windows
of the
wing
on the
left
are
rounded
while
the
windows
of the
right
wing
are
rectangular
.
Similarly
the
roofline
on the
left
has
dentils
, but the
roofline
on the
right
is
smooth
except
for a
dormer
window
. The
most
symmetrical
section
of the
building
is
the
center
portion
not
including
the
first
floor
. On
either
side
of the
stained
glass
section
are
two
towers
each
having
a
niche
at the
base
. At the
top
of the
center
section
is
a
clock
. This
group
of
buildings
was
added
to the
National
Register
of
Historic
Places
in
1978
.
