Description
Pineville-Harlan Road (U.S . 119) through the mountains in Varilla , Ky . A car can be seen driving away from the camera along a bend in the road . To the right of the road is a large tree covered cliff . To the left of the road is the Cumberland River . Handwritten on border of negative "Bell Co . Rock Cliffs beside Pineville-Harlan Road at Varilla , Ky. " Portions of this road are also referred to as the Rhododendron Highway , and U.S . Route 119 follows the original roadbed .
