Description
A group of formally-dressed African American women , men , and children pose for an interior photograph in a large room with chairs arranged in rows for viewing the raised platform . On the platform is a draped dais , with a cloth-covered table in front . In the corner is another covered , tiered table with candles and religious-themed pictures and sculptures . A group of people is standing on the platform behind the draped dais , others are seated at the table or in chairs . A woman wearing a formal cape fastened at the neck rests her hands on the shoulders of the children in front of her. Many of the women are wearing crosses on necklace chains . An opening in the wall is covered with curtains . Hangings on the walls include two crucifixes , a painting of flowers , a Regulator clock , and a partially-visible sign that reads "Bishop J.A . Hines/ Consultation by/ Appointment/ Holiness Community/ Temple Mission/ 5602 Wabash Ave . E. "
