Description
Two-story light brick house consisting of two large , perpendicular sections , with shutters and many chimneys . A line of trees (some of them severely pruned) and a picket fence with a six board gate runs in front of the house ; behind the fence , four men face the street . The Shaker religious community of Pleasant Hill , Kentucky (also known as Shakertown) existed from 1805 to 1923 .
