Romanesque Revival residence of Daniel Lawson Moore (founder of D . L . Moore Distillery and state senator) : a stone building with a crenellated tower ; dormers ; and a front porch with arched pillars and, above , a balcony rail . On the porch , which also features hunting trophies , a woman with a long white apron stands , while a man , possibly Colonel Moore , sits with a young girl on his lap .
