A woman in a suit jacket rides a horse across a stream in this chiaroscuro photograph with bare trees and gentle hills on the banks . A black circle is painted around the horse and rider . Backwards instructions to reverse the photo are written at the bottom of the photograph in white . Bottom of image : 125678 . Frontier Nursing Service was founded by Mary Breckinridge in Leslie County , Kentucky , in 1925 . Its purpose is to provide health care services to rural and remote areas .
