Title	Anna and Will Harris and Jean Thomas at McGuffey Log School.
Creator	Thomas, Jean, 1881-1982 (collector)
Description	Will Harris, Jean Thomas, and Anna Harris, all dressed in white, stand on the steps of the McGuffey Log School. Thomas acquired possession of this schoolhouse (similar to the one she had attended as a child) in Big Sandy country, and had it moved to the land adjacent to her 'Wee House in the Wood,' where it was dedicated on May 16, 1937 as a shrine to McGuffey. She left the door open for visitors, and created Friday afternoon performances (sometimes aired on a local radio station) with 1890s period costumes, furnishings, and lessons from McGuffey Readers.
