Louisville City Hospital school of nursing 1941 - Student nurses, class of 1941, at the Louisville City Hospital school of nursing, which later became Louisville General Hospital. Three rows of female students on the grass in front of a brick building. The women wear nursing uniforms and caps. Left to right, Top: Mary F. Black, Ethel Grabeel, Ora Appleby, Ona L. Clarke, Clara Lawrence. Middle: Anna Emery, Helen Long, Inez Lucas, Emily Giegerish. Bottom: Helen Miller, Pauline Finch, Sarah Ward, Thelma Dunbar, Amy Smith. Other students in the class of 1941 were Alice Carmichael, Helen Crawford, Clara Metzmeier, Cordell Turner, and Helen Sparks. Bernice D. Rieckman was the Superintendent of Nurses, and Beatrice Lusby was the Assistant Superintendent of Nurses. Title supplied by cataloger. |
