stands
and

armchairs
. A

section

behind
the
podium
and
above
it
these
words
appear

[then
in
Hebrew
:
Adonai
hoo
Elohim
.
translation
: The
Lord
is
our
God]
Our

" A
balcony
level
is
visible
on the
right
with
plain
and
stained
glass
windows

Multiple
chandeliers
hang
from the
ceiling

Notice

plaques

According
to
Jewish
Louisville
:
Portrait
of a
community
, the
congregation
laid
the
building's
cornerstone
in
1905
but
continued
fundraising
in a
number
of
forms
,
including
selling
pew
deeds
ranging
from
$100
to
$3,000
. The
building
has been on the
National
Register
of
Historic
Places
since
1974
.
