Address : 1434 Cherokee Road . Houses sited on hillsides , prominent walkways and stone steps , expansive porches , front-facing dormers and blue or green-glazed terra cotta roof tiles are all characteristic of the many Louisville homes designed by Joseph & Joseph . Many of these homes were built in the first two decades of the twentieth century in expansion neighborhoods made desirable by the newly-created Cherokee Park . This house was built for George Kopmeier , the president of C.F . Vissman & Co . and vice president of German Insurance Bank . Handwritten on back : Geo Kopmeier home / 1434 Cherokee Rd .
