Description
Front view of long two story hotel with covered porches on the first and second floors . This is the Dishman Springs Hotel near Barboursville , Ky . The hotel was a summer resort off State Road 6 and sat above a mountain lake . Recreational activities at the hotel included golf , tennis , fishing , swimming , and canoeing . According to the journals of Warren Kellar Frederick , the hotel sat on top of a very steep hill and was in use as a hotel until about 1923 . After 1923 , the grounds possibly were used for summer homes .
