U of L Wins Moot Court Regional
Settlement of Personal Injuries Discussed
The second annual Law Alumni Homecoming Institute was held at the
Law School November 14, prior to the U of L Homecoming football game.
The subject of the well attended institute was "The Evaluation of Personal
Injury Cases and Negotiations for Settlement."
Dean Marlin Volz presided over the institute and presented the various
speakers and guests. Speaking first from the plaintiffs viewpoint, was Wilfred
R. Lorry of the firm of Freedman, Landy and Lorry, Philadephia, Pa. He
emphasized the importance of constantly keeping the plaintiffs compensation
for pain and suffering at the forefront of the negotiations for a settlement.
