For Destruction

A proposal to construct a new law
facility on the east side of the main law
school building was included in the
long-range master plan which was
approved Sept. 15 by the U of L Board of
Trustees.
According to Harry Sparks, U of L
director of planning and design, the plans
now call for demolition of the Law
School annex in four or five years with
construction then beginning on the new
building. "This facility will be developed
in a matching way to the west wing
(library)," he said.
The $300,000 study which took over
two years to develop details the physical
growth of the University for the next 25
to 50 years. In keeping with that so-called
"master plan," said Mr. Sparks, is the
