Description
Full-length character portrait of actress , producer , and director Amelia Bingham portraying the title character in Pierre Decourcelle's "Olympe " for which came to Macauley's Theatre in March 1904 . Her costume includes a hat , admiral-style coat over dress , and a cane . Born Amelia Smilley on March 20 , 1869 , in Hicksville , Ohio , she married Lloyd Bingham , and died September 1 , 1927 , in New York City . She appeared in five plays at Macauley's Theatre between 1901 and 1908 , including "Mademoiselle Marni " in which she played the role of Fabienne Marni at Macauley's Theatre in April 1905 . Inscription on print , upper left : To Mr . Macauley - Yours sincerely in "Olympe " - Amelia Bingham . Annotation on mount verso : Amelia Binham in "Mlle . Marni " - Macauley's .
