Title	Rachel Booth Powers.
Description	Character portrait of actress Rachel Booth (1862-1955) in costume for the role of "Carry Story" [?] in Charles H. Hoyt's "A Tin Soldier." She wears a dark blouse with lacy jumper, and holds a cat to her cheek. Booth married actor James T. Powers (1862-1943) in 1892, having met him at the Boston production of "A Tin Soldier." They appeared in "A Tin Soldier" twice at Macauley's Theatre, in February and November 1886. Since she signed her married name to this inscription, the signature (if not the portrait itself) must post-date 1892. Inscription on print, upper center: "Carry Story" from Hoyt's "Tin Soldier" sends greetings & best wishes. Most sincerely yours, Rachel Booth Powers. Title supplied by cataloger.
