Hampton appeared at Macauley's Theatre twice in 1898 : opposite William Morris in "Under the Red Robe " on February 3-5 , and opposite Maurice Barrymore in "Shenandoah " on December 12-17 . She was born circa1868 and died February 1 , 1931 in New York City . Autograph on mount , lower center : Mary Hampton , 1898 . Location of photo studio : San Francisco (Calif.) .
