Autographed full-length character portrait of actress , producer , and director Amelia Bingham seated in a chair , holding a rose and wearing a long dress . Born Amelia Smilley on March 20 , 1869 , in Hicksville , Ohio , she married Lloyd Bingham , and died September 1 , 1927 , in New York City . She appeared in five plays at Macauley's Theatre between 1901 and 1908 : "The Climbers " (November 1901) ; "Olympe " (March 1904) ; "Mademoiselle Marni " (April 1905) ; "The Lilac Room " (December 1906) ; and "A Modern Lady Godiva " (January 1908) . Location of photo studio : New York (N.Y.)
