Description
Group portrait of three men from the Gilbert , Donnelly , & Girard comedy troupe (presumably John Gilbert , Henry V . Donnelly , and Edward Girard , although not necessarily in that order from left to right) , which performed at Macauley's Theatre in "Natural Gas " in January 1887 , April 1888 , and January 1890 ; "Natural Gas in a New Meter " (November 1890) ; and "The Rainmakers " (December 1893) . They all wear tuxedos ; the man at left wears a powdered wig ; the one in the middle has curly hair ; and the man at right is balding with long sideburns , and smiles with his mouth open . The man in the middle also appears in Image Numbers ULPA 1980.20.0774 , ULPA 1980.20.0777 , and ULPA 1980.20.0784.Location of photo studio : Cincinnati (Ohio) . Title supplied by cataloger .
