Full-length character portrait of American actress Fanny Davenport sitting at a table before a backdrop including a hearth , looking at a piece of paper , costumed in a long dress with fur stole . Born into a family of actors on April 10 , 1850 , Davenport was the leading lady of actor Robert B . Mantell , and appeared in seven productions at Macauley's Theatre between 1881 and 1898 , including the role of Princess Fedora Romazova in the play "Fedora " on February 15 , 1898 . She died September 26 , 1898 . Location of photo studio : New York (N.Y.)
