Full-length portrait of four little people (two men and two women) in wedding attire . This may be a portrait of the actual "General Tom Thumb " (Charles Sterwood Stratton , 1838-1883) , a dwarf who became famous traveling in P.T . Barnum's circus . He married another little person , Lavinia Warren , in 1863 , with Barnum colleague "Commodore " Nutt serving as best man , and Lavinia's sister Minnie Warren as maid of honor .
