" Marvin wears a simple cotton dress with pinafore . Stewart stands behind her, holding her hand and gesturing with his right arm ; he wears a uniform cap and overcoat with patent-leather shoes . "A Country Girl " was performed at Macauley's Theatre in January 1905 .
