Portrait of left profile of actress Alma Youlin . Her hair is pulled back with combs , and she wears an off-the-shoulder dress . The inscription "Forbidden Land " in the lower right of the image refers to a play in which she appeared at Macauley's Theatre in November 1905 . She also performed at Macauley's Theatre in "The Storks " (January 14-16 , 1904) and "Coming thro ' the Rye " (April 30-May 3 , 1906) . Inscription on print , lower center : Very sincerely , Alma Youlin ; Forbidden Land . Location of photo studio : Chicago (Ill.) . Title supplied by cataloger .
