Description
Oval-shaped portrait of actress Blanche Chapman wearing her hair piled atop her head and a print dress with black apron . Chapman , born in Covington , Kentucky circa 1851 , appeared at Macauley's Theatre three times : in "Said Pasha " (January 1890) , "Two Old Cronies " (November 1891) , and "Mrs . Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch " (September 1907) , which was the occasion for the inscription of this portrait . She died June 7 , 1941 in Rutherford , New Jersey . Inscription on mount : Mrs . Wiggs , Sept . 28 - 1907 . Yours truly Blanche Chapman . Location of photo studio : Columbus (Ohio) . Title supplied by cataloger .
