Description	Oneida Baptist Institute commencement procession in 1916. The procession moved from the chapel in Marvin Hall, around the school's tennis and basketball courts and the Big Store to reach the banks of the South Fork. There they witnessed the baptism of Charlie Roberts.This was just one year after Charlie Roberts killed George Baker's mule in a shoot-out that disrupted Commencement Day 1915. Handwritten on bottom border: 508. See ULPA 1982.01.539.p and ULPA 1982.01.813.p for images of the baptism. Title supplied by cataloger.
