Description |
The Hegan family log cabin located near Jacob's Park, which was then south of Louisville, Ky. It sits on a hill and has a porch spanning the entire front of the cabin with a crawlspace, or storage area, underneath. An elderly woman sits in the doorway of the home. The cabin was owned by Samuel W. Hegan, father of Alice Caldwell Hegan, who wrote "Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch." The park is now called Iroquois Park and is part of the Louisville Metropolitan area.
