Fanny Craig (Miss Allison McIntyre) sits in the center chair, holding a book as if reading to the group. Hattie Cochran (Lloyd Sherman, a.k.a. The Little Colonel) is in a chair on the far left. On the lawn in front of them is Manley Lawton (Ranald Walton, a.k.a. The Little Captain). Sitting at a table on the right are Frances and Louise Lawton (Allison Walton and Elise Walton). Catherine Lawton and Katie Malone (Kitty Walton and Katie Mallard) stand in back.
