Lawtons

model
for the
Walton
family
in the
Little
Colonel
books
. The
author
of the
Little
Colonel
series
,
Annie
Fellows
Johnston
,
purchased
the
home
from the
Lawtons
in
1911
and
lived
there
until
her
death
in
1931
.
