Title	Rob and Little Colonel at measuring tree, circa 1904.

Description	Hattie Cochran, as the character Lloyd Sherman in the Little Colonel book series, leans against the trunk of a large tree gazing up at Muir Semple, playing the character Rob Moore. Muir's arm rests on the tree above Hattie's head. He is wearing a hat, a white shirt with starched collar and tie, and he has a pocket watch attached to his belt. She is in a light, flowered dress. They are at the "measuring tree" where Lloyd Sherman tracked her annual growth at the end of every summer in the Little Colonel book series written by Annie Fellows Johnston. Title supplied by cataloger.
