Title	Entrance to Locust, Pewee Valley, Kentucky, circa 1900.

Description	A tree-lined drive leads to Locust, a country estate in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. Two small stone pillars stand at the entrance, each connected to a white rail fence. Main sections of the house are believed to have been built around 1800, making it the oldest standing structure in Pewee Valley. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NHRP Bldg. #75000817), Locust was home to both the Old Colonel and the title character in the fictional Little Colonel book series written by Annie Fellows Johnston. Title supplied by cataloger.
