Title	Rescue by boat, Louisville, Kentucky, 1937.
Description	A woman, possibly Mrs. Helen Fischer (wife of photographer Walter Fischer of Fischer Photography), and a dog are rescued by three men with a boat in Louisville, Kentucky during the 1937 Flood of the Ohio River. A service station with Gulf sign is visible in the background. A note on the back of print P_00513 indicates that this building is located at Floyd & Breckinridge Streets, but according to the 1937 Louisville City Directory, Walter and Helen Fischer lived at 564 Eastern Parkway, and Fischer Photography was located at 431 S. 3rd Street, so it's unclear which location is being evacuated. Title supplied by cataloger.
