Interior of Alamo Theatre (movie theatre in Louisville , Kentucky) , photographed from back of theater . The theater was razed circa 1930 . Handwritten on bottom of mounted print : "Alamo Theatre ; R.G . Potter Collection ; Alamo Theater 441-443 So . 4th St . opened Sat . Nov . 14 , 1914 / Designed by Jos . D . Baldez , who also designed famous twin spires for Churchill Downs in 1895 . Opening program " Love Triumphs " produced by Lubin Co . "With Slight Variation " made by Edison Co . "The Rangers Romance " by Selig Co . and "Dough & Dynamite " a Keystone comedy starring Charles Chaplin . All were one reelers of 15 minutes showing time & silent . 1100 leather cushioned seats accommodated the patrons / Admission price 10 cents adults , 5 cents for children. "
