Building Yale Pipe Line from Elk Basin to Billings and Laurel , Montana . Pipeline and tar cooker . The tar is used as an adhesive for wrapping . Most of the Yale line is not wrapped . Covering is used only in spots where the soil conditions are conducive to corrosion .
