Stern Wheel of the "Sprague ", largest tow boat in the world , being repaired at the lighter age in Baton Rouge . The 80 , 220 pound shaft of this 37 foot diameter paddle wheel had cracked and is here being welded - an operation which would not be undertaken in peace time .
