Description
Edward Alleman's chief source of income is the baby turtles which he collects or hatches from eggs . He and his seven sons looks for turtles in the woods . This requires skill because there are no visible signs of nests which are located by a certain hollow sound the ground makes . The eggs are then re-buried in the Alleman garden until hatched . Last year the Alleman made $5,000 from turtles at 13 cents each . According to Alleman , some sort of perfume or medicine is made from the turtles .
