Description
The Stokmand farm at the Schoonebeek Oil Field . Peat for both warmth and cooking , is burned on the fireplace stones . The protective tile wall behind has its designs baked in, and each piece is individually made to fit into the general pattern . Curing ham and bacon are set inside the overhanging mantel leading to the chimney .
